In wind turbine field, SCADA has been done by different methods & different mode of communications. Earlier Cabled format SCADA was in used and now some had even tried with Radio Frequency (RF) model and it did not sustain even two years. AWE provide remote SCADA using mobile phone network. AWE has chosen mobile phone network communication by considering its popularity, reliability, coverage area and communication cost.
